Hello.

Windows 10 32bit installer stops with an error message.

windows was unable to update the computer's boot configuration.

I reinstalled it once before and it worked. Since then I tried an androidx86 system.

I did the installer with rufus, gpt not cvs mode.

What could be the problem?

When you got to the screen where is asked where to install the OS, did you remove all the existing partitions so the installer could create the ones needed? If the proper EFI partition wasn't there you would get a similar error.

Yes, I deleted all partitions and made a new one. The installer created 2 other partitions.

I've installed a Win-10 Home 64bit on an Aspire One Happy 2 that was upgraded to the 256GB 2.5"Samsung EVO 850 SSD drive with 2GB ram and it installed and well??? sort of worked as it was really unusable as it was slower than a snail.😁 ,you might have a faulty mechanical hdd so check that as the 32bit should install perfectly and work allot better than the 64bit Win-10 but make sure you have 2GB min ram and if you have a Aspire One version that can have 4GB total ram upgrade to 4GB ram. .

    This is a 64gb/4gb version.

I deleted a boot entry from Windows with a program. After I deleted the android install, the boot remained. I don't know if this can cause any errors.

When you do the Windows install you should delete all partitions on the drive and install to the unallocated space, not create a partition for the install. The installer will do the rest for you. If you create a full sized partition, it doesn't have enough space for the needed EFI and Recovery partitions.
