My new Acer Chromebook Spin513 keeps buffering when I try to run Zoom videos.

Despite restarting it sometimes helps. Restarting the router sometimes helps. A Powerwash helped for a bit then the problem recurred. What can I do? I'm thinking of returning it!

I've also shut down all my extensions , run diagnostics and checked my memory which is very good.

Tried to download PWA for chromebook Zoom asZoom no longer supports ChromeOS but firstly it won't download and secondly the reviews are so poor that I'm afraid to use it. AAAAAArgh!

Buffering is caused by data coming in too slowly for real time display. That's always an issue with network speed and most likely with the local WiFi connection or the internet connection for you router. What speed is your internet?

Thanks for the reply. Upload over 100mps and download 30mps. Interestingly I have one other very old Chromebook and there are no issues with Zoom on that.

By the way it could be download 100 and upload 30 I'm not certain but I could check. It's very fast though!

avail to a faster mbps plan in your area. much better if they use fiber optic cable, not the copper wire cable for your modem, router and telephone.

Thanks. Any idea why the other older ( 8 years old) chromebook runs Zoom easily and my MacBook Air is fine too? My Acer seems to have issues with connecting to my mesh network too .... Netgear Nighthawk with 3 pods. Any help would be appreciated!!

No, those speeds should be just fine for audio and video. 72Mbps is more than enough to stream without buffering.

OK, so you have one of the CP513-1H models. They have the WiFi embedded in the SoC so it's Qualcomm just like the Snapdragon CPU. I wonder if Google is having issues with the drivers? You might check on their support forums for any issue with the Snapdragon 7c models and perhaps try the beta channel.
