Greetins, my friends.
I have an Acer Nitro 5 model
After two weeks of not using him, I used today and noticed that the notebook isn't recognizing the charge. The windows icon remains unchanged as I plug or unplug the charge in the notebook.
There's two LEDS in the notebook, one that indicates if the computer is ON and another that indicates if the charger is connected. This charger LED remains unchanged. Used to be an ember light.
I'll test the charger today at night with a multimeter. There is a chance that the problem isn't the charger?

Model AN515-55-59MT
It isn't on warranty anymore.
Hi @Craios
More likely a firmware or driver issue, update your Windows version (assuming you run Windows) then reset your battery by inserting a pin in the bottom of your laptop in the small hole where a tiny battery icon label is located (not sure if your model has that option).
If that fails check if the battery is fully charged by creating a Battery Report, type in the following command in an elevated Command Prompt (open as Administrator):
powercfg /batteryreport /output %USERPROFILE%\Desktop\battery_report.html
Then click on the icon "battery_report.html" on your desktop and look at the last fully charge to see if your charger is working, if your battery is fully charged and the same as 2 weeks ago you may have a Windows power plan (software) issue, change your power plan to Balanced and see if that helps. Restore your system to an earlier point (2 weeks ago) is another suggestion.

I don't think my model has that hole. Didn't find It.
A friend lend me a charger, but the amber light does not show. I can assure that this charger is working properly. The only differente is that this charger have half of the potency of the original charger of my acer nitro 5, 65w.
Even with a charger with 65w, the notebook should charge or it's normal the notebook doesnt recognize the charger?
Tinkerer
@Puraw I can still turn on the notebook, it has 20% left of the battery. The only problem is that the notebook doesnt recognize the charge, even another one I have here that has half of the potency (65w)
To be precise, this other charger has less amp as well.
I dont know if the notebook should recognize the charger the same way, even if not charge properly.
now is the time to replace your battery and your charger

I tried one, it seemed to fit in the notebook's hole, but i'm not quite sure about it. I'll try to find a charger to test.
try Huntkey universal laptop adapter or the similar ones
