Acer nitro 5 AN515-57 won't boot / access bios when 2 drives are connected

Hello everyone! Hope you can help me.

I have an Acer nitro 5 (AN515-57) that comes with two M.2 slots and a sdd/hdd sata port.

I tryed to install an SSD SATA but the laptop won't boot or even enter BIOS (is not even getting to the "Acer" logo before you can enter BIOS). It turns on, 2 secs of fan noise an then stops (all lights on, but black screen)

To rule out the SSD or adaptor sata cable are working properly (ithey should, as i used ithem with another laptop 1 month ago) i tried to unplug the m.2 drive (the one with the OS that came with the laptop) and it works (i can enter BIOS and is properly recognized, even though i can not enter windows even if it has a partition with it installed due being of another machine)

So the SSD is working and is recognized by the laptop, ONLY when is the only drive connected. When i plug the M.2 again, i get the same issue. I can only get to the BIOS / acer screen when ONE of the two drives are connected.

I tried to unplug the CMOS battery to check if it had something to do with the POST but didn't work at all.

What bugs me is that is not even getting to the BIOS.

Anyone has a clue what is happening or how to solve it ?

Don't do anything and/or unplug the bios battery as the problem is the mobo SATA plug and the flat cable that is not connected properly into the SATA plug, that is why its giving you NO LAPTOP LIGHTS OR BOOT and NO BIOS as it freezes the laptop. I've had the same problems with a Nitro AN515-56 and connecting a SATA 2.5" drive as that mobo plug is cheap and nasty and very hard to connect to and after 10 attempts, I've given up as it still won't connect the flat cable into it and work. I'm using the SATA drive as an external drive that works 100% and much better.

Note: If you can't connect the 2.5"SATA SSD drive then take it back and get an M.2 PCIe 3 x4 2TB cheap or a PCIe 3 x4 WD SN750 M.2 drive as it will work allot quicker and better than a 2.5"SATA SSD speed.

i Have a similar Problem with a NVMe drive

On the C-Drive that came with my acer the os starts and works

But on the second drive (D) even if (C) is mirrored it wont boot

Error reads as Follows:

"Drive not accessible"

i Even managed to install an os on an older Sata ssd.

After a Hard reset after 2 months the os on that drive wont boot anymore, too. Dont know if the hard reset had anything to do with it.

But regardless in those mentioned 2 months

i could not exchange the small OEM (500Gb) with a bigger one.

Because as soon as i removed the drive (Original/OEM C)

NO DRIVE WOULD/COULD BOOT.

Because to the Notebook it looks like there is

"NO DRIVE AVAILABLE"

In the BIOS:

i cant change the UEFI and Boot options (to something else)

I Only Gained acces to the boot menu Via Easy BCD

I managed to disable all the secure Boot features

STILL!

No 2TB NVME

NO Sata drive (ssd&HDD)

NO Drive is recognized besides the OEM Drive

Even changed the slots around

In the Bios only the OEM Drive is visible-Accesable

Technically i see them in the bios

BUT as soon as i try to change boot order or anything

Only the OEM Original C drive is Visible.

Is the BIOS Corrupt or something?

All the drives are working (Normal) as soon as i am inside Windows.
