Power cord on new Predator Helios 300 PH317-55 Gaming Laptop

When I bought my Predator Helios 300 Gaming Laptop - PH317-55-59J9 in January of this year (2023) directly from Acer, why is the 330W power cord they sent with it:

  1. Straight instead of a right angle like all the others I've seen?
  2. As thick as a guitar cable?
  3. Should it really be like this or did they send me the wrong one?

Please excuse my technical ignorance on this.

    @timeghost The 330W adapter has different design from other lower-wattage chargers. The thick cable can handle a higher current, and making a perpendicular charger head with such a thick cable is difficult.

    I find the weight of the cable frequently pulls the charger plug loose from the socket and I have to reach to the back to re-seat it. I worry that over time the socket will become worn and progressively looser, making the problem worse. I understand and appreciate the need for a more substantial cable and brick but I think the product design decisions surrounding this haven't been well-made.

    in addition, a thicker cable works with less resistance.
