Hello,

I recently won an auction for a Acer Nitro ED3 curved monitor, only to find that the monitor is cracked and basically unusable. ITs been a while since i repaired a screen myself ans was wondering if anyone had any advice or derection towards repair before my money goes down the drain of disappointment. Please any advice would help as this would be an unbearable loss. I had intended to gift this to my wife. And she saw the box already.

Thank you.

I am really sorry for the inconvenience.

I understand you say "monitor is cracked and basically unusable"

It looks like a hardware issue.

Please contact a local tech. It might be a simple issue. Check with him. Replace the part which is gone bad. There are two type of hardware servicing which is chip level servicing and the other one is card level servicing. He will find the real issue and will help you.

There are a bunch of slightly different ED3 models out there. Take a look at the sticker on your to see which it is. It's likely something like ED273x xxxxx. With the full model number we can lookup the specific display used in yours and get you a part number for the screen.
