My issue is exactly as described. I am on an Acer swift sf314-511, running Windows 10 Home. Since I got this laptop, whenever it was plugged in or unplugged, it made a beep noise to notify me of this. This extremely useful sound has suddenly stopped occurring. a USB being removed or inserted still makes that associated sound, but not the charger all of a sudden. I cannot seem to figure out why. any help would be extremely appreciated.

That beep is caused by Windows recognizing the charge state has changed. I wonder if MS turned it off by default due to all the complaints about it happening too often? Almost all the people we see who mention that beep are complaining that they don't want it, rather than saying it's useful. :)
