Hi,

Acer R13 CB5-312T Chromebook Touchscreen stops working while being used.

I got it revived with a powerwash, then stopped again.

Next time i got i revived without powerwash, by changing to beta ChromeOs channel. Worked a while and died again. Changing to dev channel got it working again, stopped a few weeks later.

Issue is now acting up again, not eager to powerwash again and setup/restoring everything as wanted.

testing with evtest in crosh shows the device as input, but no input is registered when using the touchscreen.

crosh> evtest

No device specified, trying to scan all of /dev/input/event*

Not running as root, no devices may be available.

Available devices:

/dev/input/event0:   Elan Touchscreen

/dev/input/event1:   cros_ec

/dev/input/event2:   Elan Touchpad

/dev/input/event3:   mtk-rt5650 Headset Jack

/dev/input/event4:   mtk-rt5650 HDMI Jack

/dev/input/event5:   gpio-keys

/dev/input/event6:   MiMouse Mouse

/dev/input/event7:   MiMouse Consumer Control

Anyone an idea how to fix this without powerwash?

current OS is Version 110.0.5481.46 (Officiële build) beta (32-bits)

Sounds like Google mucked something up again with the newest OS. Can you roll back to 109 to see if it goes back to normal? You might report the issue to them as well...
