XMP option is blocked on my PO7-640 with XMP ram modules, on the newest firmware. I think the motherboard can be temperamental with some ram types and the only solution would be if Acer devs look into it and provide an update, however there's no way to get through to them directly or even indirectly via the support channels.

Same issue here, P03-640 running R01-B0 BIOS and XMP is greyed out -- no ability to enable/disable, even after setting a supervisor password. RAM installed is XMP compatible etc. Baffling, and frustrating!

how can advanced settings be enabled, I have a P03-630 and it's limited to 2133mhz , hardly fair when I thought I was getting 3200mhz.

sent you a message on another thread, I am reading here about setting a supervisor password to enable xmp profile, is this correct?

I put 2x16 of Vengence and it shows 2133 speed, it's a P03-630, didn't try the Supervisor Password, need to know if it will work. And do I need to but 2 more sticks of 2x16 to fill remaining slots as I understand from Billsey that's if I understand this correctly.

well, i have 4x16 crucial and its xmp 3.0 and mine wont work either, so they musta blocked it with one of the last bios updates, but i am getting 4000 mhz with 4 sticks of ddr5, the only option we have is to replace the MB and thats about it.

I had a similar issue,my xmp is not greyed out but when I enabled it my system would not boot correctly.I would get the single beep then lose hdmi signal causing a useless pc.I set it back to xmp off and it boots correctly. This is with XMP 3200 1.35volt ddr4.I had to buy some crappy kingston KVR jedec3200 1.2volt with cl22 to get 3200mhz to even work.I wish acer would fix whatever issues these bios's have with xmp memory, just give us an option to tune our ***** memory manually already you cheapskates….

well, i was just speaking to a level 2 tech and he said its an intel problem with the chipsets they chose for our pcs, but upon researching my chipset is does not say that, i think they locked the bios so nobody can fry-wreck their pcs and he told me they are fine tuned and dont need to be overclocked and for the most part he is right mine smokes on games and to me thats the best test even over benchmarks but since i maxed out my ram and added that thermalright cpu plate my pc runs even better and faster with both benchmarks and my games so im happy lol even if i am stuck at 4000 mhz its all good i love the pc. this is something i found about mine.

The PO3-630 doesn't support XMP overclocking. The base speed of the memory you got is 2133, so everything will run at 2133 until you replace that with actual 3200 memory.

So. Not sure if you ever figured it out but I just installed 32GB of Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4 3200, went into the BIOS and was able to enable XMP. RAM is running at 3209MT/s. Before, XMP was greyed out. I have the PO3-640 with the 12700F and it wasn't an option before. Now it is.

Yeah, they did a BIOS update on the PO3-640 that allowed XMP, but all memory on the system needs to be XMP and all needs to support the same profile.
