has anyone heard anything about new models or changes coming? i know at CES 2023 they only released new gaming laptops and monitors no new gaming desktops. I'm going to buying another gaming desktop computer sometime this year and wanted to wait to see what their new lineup will be so if anyone has heard anything please share. i currently own a PO5-640-UB11 and want something more robust with all the new technology that just came out so i don't have to strip it down and do it myself like so many people here had to do. otherwise, I'll be forced to buy something different like say a corsair vengeance series. they seem to have all the boxes checked on new technology and 240mm cooling and more than enough fans in their cases for cooling.

The new 13th Gen Intel's or the AMD Ryzen 7000 and the RTX 4000 and AMD 7000 series GPUs gaming desktops are not available from Acer but will be released soon I'm sure from Acer in their Predator range and Nitro range. At this point in time the Predator Orion 7000 PO7-640-UR12 is the top of the range desktop that Acer produces which imo is quite a high end desktop that any user would be more than happy to own😁 unless you are skilful enough to build one yourself?

    PO7-640-UR12 | DG.E2YAA.003 - USD $4499.99

    • Windows 11 Pro 64-bit

well i would never buy that model it has terrible reviews its way overpriced and almost everyone who has bought it has to replace the aio cooler with a 240mm acer needs to step it up and put in better parts. i only bought the one i have because of good reviews and i got it on sale for 400 off at BestBuy made it well worth it. for 4499.99 you can get a lot of good gaming computers that blow away that acer model for even less money lol

well i guess the only weak link i know in any line of acer predator gaming pcs 3000,5000,7000 is the cooling being subpar. and I'm sure all of us owners can agree on this by all the comments i see and how many have replaced there cooler with something better i mean all i hear ppl complain about are how loud fans are and I've been doing research on decibel levels a lot of fans by a lot of companies are loud. maybe if acer put a better cooler block under the fans like noctua and cool master do we wouldn't have as many problems since cooling is their weak link. hopefully in the new lineup when it comes out has improved cooling.

We don't have visibility into what's coming up short of official announcements, but as Steven suggests they will likely be 13th gen based with similar specs to the 12th gen versions. I'd also expect them to have their GPUs based on 4000 series instead of 3000. They might have a surprise or two in the works, but we will have to wait and see. The PO7-650 13th gen system was announced in September but I don't see it on the website yet... I suppose one big question is if they will be doing a 9000 model again as well.

well hopefully they address the cooling issues that plague all there gaming desktop series i have no idea about their laptops but from what I've read they suffer as well. we should not have to shell out 2k + for a gaming pc and still have to add a better cooling system it's ridiculous. and i know there not the only one either i had a HP omen that was the same price as my acer predator desktop same issue with cooling. and that was liquid cooled with only 3 fans total and got hotter than the acer playing the same games with its 4 fans and air cooled. that's why i said my next one will most likely be a corsair vengeance model they come with 6 fans and liquid cooled and i can't find anyone complaining about them running hot in any reviews or forums that i have researched. as much as i love acer I'm not going to spend hundreds adding a better cooling system and more fans when they should already come with them like the corsair vengeance lineup does. for the same price or just a little more so I'm hoping the new lineup addresses these issues and they pay attn. to these forums and what the users are saying and doing.
