2 year old Acer Chromebook Spin 713-2W, Screen started glitching yesterday

I've had it for 2 years with no problems. I booted it up yesterday morning, and it started doing this.

I tried restarting, but that didn't help. Closing and opening the lid seems to clear it up for a few seconds before it starts to glitch up again.

I've asked around, and I was told that it might be a faulty screen ribbon or connection? How would I go about getting it fixed? Does Acer offer screen replacements for this model?

It's out of warranty.

Thank you

First step is to go ahead and do a power wash. That will either fix it or show it's not software. If it's hardware most often it's the cable that runs between the motherboard and display, since that cable gets flexed each time you open or close it, and the flexing can cause internal cracks in the wires. Since moving the lid changes the behavior it is most likely the cable. The Acer part number for the cable is: 50.HQBN7.007
