Predator Helios 500 PH571-52 Temperature overheat when idle

My Predator Helios 500 PH571-52 fans are going crazy as soon as it goes on idle (screen going black), and everything comes back to normal when I wake it (I just move my mouse to get it out of sleep)

My monitoring showed that the CPU temperature is increasing to +90°C when going idle, and then decreasing when I wake it.

See the charts below : the CPU peak on the right is exactly when it went idle, and dropped to 60°C when I woke it.

Note that it's always around 60°C on basic usage (browser, office)

The machine is on "default" mode, the fans are on auto.

I really feel like I've been ripped off for the price 🙁

Is there anything I should set up ?

Thanks very much in advance !

Thats a tad odd, it suggests that something is running when the screen is off. You can follow this to generate what is using the CPU ( https://superuser.com/questions/453909/log-cpu-by-process-over-time ) if you do that, and it doesnt start using a shed load of CPU you could have some coin miner malware! It probs isnt that and is more likley the windows indexing something

Thanks for your suggestion, I'll try that.

I have scanned ht PC with 2 different antivirus : no malware found. 👍
