Hello. Today I played a little games and later turn off the laptop. But when I unplugged the charging plug from the laptop, it was warm, like a laptop. It looks like a warm laptop is heating up the charging plug. Can the charging plug get warm because of the laptop?

When a laptop is plugged in and turned on, the adapter may be warm to the touch. A relatively warm power adapter is normal, especially when the laptop is in use while the battery is charging. However, if the adapter is hot enough to hurt you after touching it for a few seconds, there could be a serious issue. The first thing to check is whether or not the laptop battery is gaining any charge with the adapter plugged into an outlet.

Also, did you replace the battery with a cheap eBay refurbished one and sold as a new one? If you have then you have a faulty battery.

Is it possible that the computer is not doing a complete shutdown? Keeps overheating when you disable fast startup in power options?

Hello, I have not changed the laptop battery and it charges well, but the tip of the charging plug gets warm.

What's the laptop model number, as it could be a faulty charger which you should check if its output is to spec for your laptop like 19V (use a multimeter if you have one) and not charging at a lower voltage and gets hot or the DC ports positive middle pin or negative side pins are faulty and not making full contact with the plug causing a short, so check that out or replace the DC port and cable.

AN515-57-534E. My power supply is fully functional, I checked it with a multimeter. It looks more like the laptop heats up the charging plug with its heat. Charges and works from the network without problems.

That could be a possibility but it doesn't happen to my AN515-56 laptop (when i use it and/or play high end games) as my AN515-56 has an i7-11370H/RTX3050 which is virtually and exactly the same as your AN515-57, if the DC port overheats then its an internal capacitor/mosat problem in its power stage(s) that is shortening out but still working and its overheating a circuitry components and causing this heat problem(s), as by these circuits not working 100% they are causing too much power going through that primary power stage and it needs to be analyzed by a technician and appropriate chips needs to be replaced. Be careful and don't let this matter go too much longer (if your laptop is under warranty then get Acer to replace the mobo) as and if that capacitor and especially a mosat (which is the last relay to protect either the cpu or gpu burns out or shorts out it will damage your cpu or gpu and then you will have to change the mobo, which is allot more expensive than fixing this circuitry overheating issue.

It's not that bad, it just heats up from the high temperature of the laptop case itself. The back of the laptop is warm.
