I have a 2-year-old Acer EB321HQU 32 inch 2k monitor. When I turn it on, it will show ACER, then the panel will light up properly for maybe 20 seconds and display the screen of the attached computer (both Macs and Windows work.). The control light goes BLUE at startup, then off when it blanks. I've also seen the control light go BLUE, YELLOW, OFF if no monitor is connector. If I unplug right away, it will do the same, except it will light up for maybe 5 seconds. If I wait a few minutes I can go back to the 20 second display. I've replaced the Power Supply, cleaned all the cable contacts but nothing improves the situation. Anyone have any suggestions? If this were an old LCD panel, it might be the inverter board, but I don't think LED monitors like this have such a board. The main display board is $40 and without knowing if that will fix the problem, I'm not eager to try that. It seems like the panel is ok, but something, somewhere in the circuitry is off - maybe a bad capacitor that fails after charging up? Thanks....

You would be better off asking a specialist comp monitor TV technician who has experience in repairing these sorts of faults, as they can tell you straight away what is wrong and what needs replacing and if its financially viable to repair a $269.99 monitor, as these days and as usual electronic waste is what most of these products end up as and their designs are only made to last a few years (you were just unlucky that it only lasted 2 years) as not many techs can or will repair them.

I had a brand new hardly used 32" cheap TLC smart TV (made in China of course) and its backlights burned out and had a faint image, as I had no experience in any monitor or TV repairs and just for fun I enquired at a TV tech place on how much a backlight repair would cost, and he said that it wouldn't be financially viable for him to do it under $250 AUD here in Australia, So I attempted to fix it and it took me 1 hr and the LED globes cost me $5.00 for 20 pieces as this TV had 2x of its LED backlight globes burned out plus it was really easy to fix, as I searched the web and luckily, there was a step by step YouTube guide of the same TV from Indonesia (where they fix things and don't just throw them away) and I fixed it.

Unfortunately, I don't have access to the SG manuals from Acer as I can't get onto the Acer Dashboard site where we have access to these SG manuals, so and if someone else that has access can give you some references to parts or you can ask Acer in your area, you might be lucky and get the appropriate parts to fix this monitor yourself. As that is what you are up against as the repair and getting the parts is the hardest thing and probably the human workmanship is more than the whole monitor is worth these days. So, diagnose the exact fault yourself and get the appropriate parts and fix it, as this could be a very good project for you. 😁good luck and hope you sort this out.
