Problem with keys what did you do to fix it?

Hi

This is the second time some of the keys are acting up. The keys that have both a letter and number on them don't work as they are meant to. For instance, when I press the letter O I get the number 6. This has happened once before and I tried everything, but none of it worked until I reset my laptop. Now it's happened again, only this time the resetting isn't working.

Has anyone else experienced this before and what did you do to fix it? Keep in mind that my laptop is new.

What is the laptop model number, as what you are experiencing is a keyboard issue, so change the keyboard as replacing keys (if you can get them) is just a temporary fix as all keyboards need to be changed if used constantly as their mechanics wear out.

try pressing Fn + NumLock/NumLk altogether to disable the numeric key and go back to letter key.

that is common to netbook and notebook computers. 😉

Fn+numlk didn't work, so I tried just the numlk and then it did. I had googled the problem before I reached out to the Acer community, but as I said, nothing worked. Feel a bit silly now that I know how easy it is to fix it should it happen again. 😅 Thanks so much for your help! I appreciate it ☺️

use your on screen keyboard and try the Fn + NumLk key combination

try using usb keyboard if on screen keyboard does not work
