Acer Nitro 5 AN515-58 - why won't my internal laptop monitor work with 165hz? (windows 10)

Nvidia GeForce RTX3060 - 6 GB dedicated

Pre-installed Windows 11 Home

I bought the computer from someone else that barely had touched it (accordingly). It was factory reset, and the first thing I did was downgrade to Windows 10. Then it started black flickering and flashing, to the point so I barely see what I had on the screen (if I was looking right before it started), but only when I did some minor things. Then it came back after 5-20 seconds. When I lowered from 165hz to 60hz it stopped. '

I don't know if it has anything to do with downgrading Windows since I barely had 11 on.

I uninstalled my graphic drivers and downloaded the latest for Windows 10.

Why is this happening? Would love to have 165hz.

Hi,

It could be the driver incompatibility, this model supports only Windows 11, you can view it in Acer Driver support link below, so I would suggest you revert back to Windows 11.

Oh, right...... Maybe I should've made alot more research before buying this computer, but I'm planning to use this one to edit videos, and last time I checked Premiere Pro is not supported on Windows 11 (yet). Not entirely sure what to do.
