So I just bought my acer nitro 5 AN515 laptop, and removed it from the packaging. The laptop does not switch on and if I connect the charger, the led does not light up. What could the issue be and how could I fix it?

In the latest Nitro laptops and in their manuals, there is a guide of how to plug the charger plug into its laptop port and you have to push the plug in until you hear a click like below, as the battery could be low on charge and not powering the laptop on out of the box.

If that doesn't work, which is very unusual then you need to press the power button for 10 sec then leave the laptop for 1min and press the power button again, as it should boot the laptop, if that doesn't work then you need to do a hard reset by taking the back cover off and disconnecting the main battery, bios battery and leave both of these batteries disconnected for 15min and reconnect everything and reboot, as all this should definitely reboot the laptop, if all this doesn't work then contact Acer support and have Acer look at your laptop as there is a power issue (that is very strange for a new laptop) and your laptop has 12 months Acer warranty that these problems are covered under warranty.
