Hi

After installation of windows 11 and installation of win 10 H2 -22 update, the wi fi has disappeared completely. I have tried all methods described in various forums. Wondering if ACER support team is aware of this wide spread issue and will be releasing any patch or updated drivers for windows 11 possible? or is it possible I can download any other wi fi driver for win 11 64 bit which might work with realtek lan and wifi?

Thanks

S

does the device show under device manager? If so could we grab the harwdware id of it :) in theory the driver should be the same for windows 10 and 11

What is the exact model of your laptop, has your laptop got Win-11 drivers from Acer? As all that is very important, I've got an AN515-56 that has all the drivers for Win-11 and the Bluetooth Intel drivers are very problematic except with and only the Acer oem BT driver that works, as all the Intel Win-11 BT updates don't work and make my BT dead. With Wi-Fi its the same, as you need to go into Device Manager >Network adaptors and if your Wi-Fi driver is there, rollback the Wi-Fi driver and reboot the laptop, if that doesn't work then install the oem Acer Wi-Fi driver for your laptop even if its for Win-10 as it should work. Try all that and let us know how you make out.

Same thing happened to this laptop (a fiends) a ES1-531 N15-W4 during a windows update which generated an error.?

Trying to find the actual correct driver to see if reinstalling can work?, however there are about at least 3 different types Liteon, Broadcomm and Intel?

How do I find which is his device. Belarc cannot even find it? Nothing in device manager.

    EDit:
Managed to get the wifi back. Windows was saying device not connected. ?
I made sure both WLAN services were running, uninstalled the hidden network devices which was also the Atheros driver and restarted.
Then when I rebooted it just reappeared.
When trying to reinstall the driver, it said the wifi card was not inserted, which obviously it was, as it came back up.
However after we switched it off and he took it home, when he booted it up, it had gone again. Tried removing hidden network adapters as before but it did not come up on reboot?
