Hello, I have an issue with my Acer Nitro 5 where if I try to play games that are big, my battery will come in and out of charging rapidly, and doesn't stop. All I hear is "doo doo doo doo doo" from where the battery is charging, and uncharging fast. Is this an issue with my battery or?

What is the exact Nitro 5 model number, should be AN715 or AN515 or AN517-xx? As problems like you have pointed out could be the charger and battery, that can't keep up with the power draw that the laptop needs, if this laptop is fairly new and not older than 3 years the battery should be ok, otherwise it could be the side DC port that is shorted, or its the charger or the laptops primary power circuitries that have an issue and need inspecting and/or repairing or your laptop has a gpu bottleneck, where the gpu can't keep up with the cpu and the power required for these games settings and it overheats and makes the laptop either overheat and turn off. There are allot of factors to power issues and overheating in a laptop, so give us more details like what games are you playing, model number, as there are thousands of Nitro 5 models😁

hey i am also having the same issue as person above. i play games like Rust, Fortnite, Elden Ring, and counter strike and they all will stop charging my laptop when a heavy load or something occurs in the game. i’ve only owned this laptop for 11 months and i put all my game settings to almost the lowest possible on all the games i play. i’ve also bought a new AC adapter and that didn’t fix the problem so is this likely a battery issue or what?

Go to PC Builds bottleneck scanner, as this scan tell you where your laptops weakest hardware issues are land what is the best settings to reduce bottlenecks and these crashes with resolution settings to your gpu , as you might also need to undervolt the cpu, as thi sis very unusual for a laptop to crash, especially a new laptop, btw I've got a Nitro 5 AN515-56 i7 RTX3050 32GB ram DDR4-3200Mhz 1TB SN750 M.2 and it works perfectly with any gaming, especially with GeForce Experience ultimate settings for the games that are included for their ultimate settings in their games list, so use that also and have the latest NVIDIA driver for your gpu also and all Intel drivers up to date.
