nitro 5 an515-55 nvidia Control Panel won't open after accepting the license agreement

I have a nitro 5 an515-55 with a nvidia rtx2060 and had to re-install windows 11. Just noticed I can't change the high-performance settings to the nvidia gpu in windows display settings, it only gives the default Intel option. Also the nvidia control panel won't open after accepting the license agreement.

Nvidia driver version 527.56 is installed and I can see it in device manager, but weird thing is geforce experience is still saying the game ready driver is still available.

Have tried everything, DDU in safe mode, re-installed several versions but nothing seems to work.

Anyone had any success or ideas?

I recommend using Windows 10, I quite frankly think that Windows 11 shouldn't really be used for gaming since it uses too much resources, even if you don't have much things open or in background. As for the driver, maybe try running the Control Panel as Administrator?
