You should have the 25-character code on your copy of the retail package (if you bought this from a retailer) if you bought windows from Microsoft online store then Microsoft has a copy of the key, so contact them, otherwise try the below steps as you should have made a copy of this important key or kept the retail box where the key is. If all this fails then there are software's that can retrieve the 25-character code so try that.

Activate Windows using a product key

A product key is a 25-character code, that looks like this:

   PRODUCT KEY: XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX

During installation, you'll be prompted to enter a product key. Or, after installation, to enter the product key, select the Start  button, and then select Settings  > System  > Activation  > Update product key > Change product key.
