There will be a USB port on the bottom, it will either be an A to A or an A to B cable most likley, if you snap a pic of it can have a look :) Annoyingly the user guide nor service manual have the type aha

At first I just had the hdmi cable. I have since tried a usbC to display port cable. Still no camera. I appreciate the help!

Ah there is the USB-B, my bet is its that one, the one next to the display port on the far right :)
