After a long and drawn out process of trying to get my acer nitro 5 an515 fixed I was told that the laptop I purchased under the impression was brand new it turned out it was manufacturer refurbished so I would’ve had to pay a flat rate to get it fixed which was only a little less then what I paid for the computer I decided to use what parts I could to build a pc and I’m wanting to use the windows 10 from the nitro 5 on the Ssd on my new pc where can I find the product key so I can use windows

A Nitro laptop has the OS like Win-10 installed onto an M.2 drive, take the Nitro 515-xx out and install it into your new PC (it would help if you told us the model of the Nitro and the new PC) as I presume that its got an M.2 slot as the new PC should have a compatible PCIe M.2 interface slot so that the old Nitro 515-xx will fit and work.

Try that as Win-10 should adapt its drivers and reinstall all the new drivers and work with your new PC, btw I've done the same and it worked 100%, for activation, you need to have a Microsoft Account as all these OSs are "Digitally Activated" and are registered or need to be registered into your MS account, as there is no key for a preinstalled OS. Also, you need to be very careful as any old boot drives are sometimes "BitLocker protected" and can't be used unless the old owner has disabled BitLocker" and/or you have the 48 numbered key to unlock this protection.

Sorry you can't as far as I know as the M.2 from an Acer nitro AN515-55 laptops Win-10 or 11 key is a proprietary key embedded into the mobo and will not register on a new Asus desktop mobo as the windows key is a proprietary Acer key which can be swapped between Acer laptops and maybe desktops but not onto a new Asus z560 mobo as it's a completely new chipset and mobo and only a new Win-10 or 11 key will work with this mobo. You can try and let us know, as I've swapped a 2.5"" SSD with Win-10 Pro between Acer laptops and it worked instantly as windows adapted quickly but Imo it won't work with a new mobo from another manufacturer, you answer would be very informative, so please try it and reply to our community, thank.
