Simply put, the Acer Nitro 5 is an excellent choice for those who are just getting into CAD and 3D modeling. It's more than good enough for 2D modeling and isn't likely to feel sluggish for anyone working on basic 3D models.

I would suggest go with Intel processor variant if you want a better performance and go with ryzen processer variant if you want a better battery backup.

Afterall, both are good for your need.
