Hi. So I just realized my laptop (E15) doesn't recognize the microphones of any headsets I plug into. The headsets have been tested on other devices and they get recognized and work well giving me both voice and audio, but when I plug them into this laptop the mic doesn't get recognized. If I go to the sound settings, the headset gets detected as an output audio device, but no microphone gets detected no matter what I do.

3.5mm headset mic is not a separate item in the acer world.

When you plugged in your headset, the computer will prompt you "which device did you plug in", select "headset". That's it. If not prompted, then go to realtek audio console or realtek hd audio manager to select "headset".

You can verify whether your 3.5mm headset mic is working by lightly tapping your headset mic, the "mic array" signal meter will jump.

Make sure that the 3.5mm plug is fully inserted. If your headset has detacheable mic, make sure that is also fully inserted. Make sure that the headset mic mute button is not accidentally pressed.
