Hi, I have a chrombook 11, I only used it for around 1 week then put it on the box, that was maybe 2 years ago, I then started using it a few days ago and it was working perfectly then all of a sudden it went off and won’t charge or come back on. SSID 852015*****. Thank you for any help.

Do not connect the charger. Make sure the power light is off. Than try the below step

I had a chromebook do that: turn on and nothing. Used a magnetised screwdriver to remove the back. tightened all connections, replaced back, & started working.

Two years without a charge might have left the battery too low to charge. Try plugging it in and leaving it overnight, then try again. Do you at least get the 'charging' status light?

It was charging fine a few days ago, I don’t get any lights now.

Hold the power button of chromebook for a min

    chromebook will turn off

    Unplug the charger cable.

Hold the power button for a min

    Turn on the Chromebook.

If it is still not working..

It might also be the issue with battery, charger or power outlet.  Try to use the charger in a different room on a different power outlet. Try to bypass the surge protector and connect it directly to power outlet.  Try to use an alternative charger if possible.  Try to turn on the computer without the charger and check it ( as long as the battery is not drained out )
