Hello, just bought 2 monitors:

Nitro VG271USBMIIPX and Nitro VG270BMIIX,

so far I tested only the first 2k one, since I'm waiting for my arm stand to mount two of them. I have this strange issues with DP connection, so for example I have DP connected and it says that there is no signal, I have to do some combos to connect it again, usually turning off monitor and replugging DP cable works, sometimes if I just lightly wiggle the cable it disconnects and does not want to connect again. I thought ok, if I just do not touch it it will be fine, but now after 2hrs of afk, I came back to see same issue. Had to turn off monitor, replug and works again.

My PC specifications (not sure most of those help, but w/e):

CPU: Intel Core i5-12400 BOX 2.5 GHz, LGA s1700

GPU: Gigabyte RTX 3060 Ti Gaming OC 8GB

RAM: GOODRAM DDR4 IRDM X 32/3000 (2*16 GB)

MB: Gigabyte B660M DS3H DDR4 s1700 4DDR4 DP/HDMI M.2 mATX

SSD: Lexar NM620 1TB NVMe M.2 2280

Power: SilentiumPC Supremo FM2 Gold 620W Modular

Cooler: SilentiumPC Spartan 5 MAX ARGB

Case: SilentiumPC Ventum VT2 EVO TG ARGB

I have (if I believe right) x2 HDMI 2.1 ports, and x2 1.4a DP ports, could this be the issue that this monitor has 1.2 DP ports?

I have latest NVidia drivers of course.

Help, thanks!

Small update: I'm here after 20minutes of combo shuffling between HDMI and DP, turning on/off, plugging in/out cables to get this thing going. One time had only max 120Hz on display port avaliable, then switched to only HDMI - had 144Hz, then after 2 minutes of doing literally same thing DP showed and could load into 170Hz. It really gets annoying and I'm truly afraid when I plug this monitor to my working laptop I won't even be able to switch between those 2 when I want to. I will do my testing with laptop right now.

Another small update: I also had some shutterings in game, despite having 170 constant FPS for example if I moved in a Dota2 game, you could clearly see hero shutter with fps drops to 120. I reinstalled my drivers and it went perfect (you know, totally crisp 170Hz ale smooth display), today I tweaked some settings but ultimately changed them back to normal (Free Sync, Overdrive). And after that already you could see shutter, I reinstalled again, again it's smooth but I've notices faulty screen bugs, screen turns black for a sec, you can see vertical pixelated pattern appearing fast (I don't know how to call it but I can provide video o screen). Could this be faulty DP cable? Shall I try new one before returning the screen? After taking out DP from monitor and replugging it stopped, also heard some strange clicks in the right side below buttons. Sadly after this I only have 120Hz in NVidia display panel to choose.

That all sounds like the cable might be a bit flaky... Do you have others to test with?

Yea this is my main assumption. Sadly not at the moment, but I will purchase one before I will return the monitor.

Do you have something to recommend? Which brand makes safe and good options?

Yea. DP Cable from iVANKY (VBC01) seemed to help a bit. I mean the connection does not brake after "wind blow" anymore but it's still fragile, so for example if I move a cable a bit harder it disconnects, but it's easy to reconnect after. I can plug out and in and it establishes automatically, not like before where I had to perform combos.

So overall, are those DP ports THAT fragile? I mean I know VGA and DVI-D had screw attachments, but HDMI? It was loose as well and it didn't have that much problems. Is this DP magic?

DP ports usually have a click when the cable is fully seated, and you have to squeeze the release latch to get them back off...

Correct. The added one to the monitor had this click, however as I said even with the click cable was atrocious. Also on the GPU end I have it mounted on the most top rail, so I have problem sticking it all the way through. New cable does not have those clicks. Maybe this not fully sticking out GPU is problem, I dunno..

I am having the same exact issue connecting the monitor to my laptop. If I turn the Monitor on within ~5 seconds of turning on my laptop, they will connect. I am using HDMI. It has had this issue since I first bought the monitor, and I have tried many different drivers and a few different HDMI cables. It's so, so annoying. Have you found a solution yet?

Hey, to be honest, I used 2 laptops with different monitors connected via HDMI cable and I do not recall any issues with it. I mean not with moving the laptop with cable etc, HDMI has fairly tough connection. The thing with turning on within 5 secs.. maybe you should tweak monitor setting with auto detect or something?

I mean my problem was a bit different I think and purely connected to DP having not good connection overall. Buying expensive cable with whole gold coating helped a lot as well as having material cable, not the gum ones. Buying good cable, and fairly sturdily laying the cable helped a lot, I no longer have random disconnections etc. and I'm able to switch between my working laptop and PC.
