crucial ddr 5 memory in 5200 and 5600 mhz

so this is a post not a question.... i went to the crucial website yesterday and noticed the ddr 5 4800 mhz memory is at an all time low and they also have ddr 5 memory in 5200 and 5600 mhz also even tho im not sure if that would help-work in our acer desktops since they limit us at 4400 mhz lol....just figured ide let everyone know that has a newer predator orion desktop or laptop with ddr 5 memory .... tc n stay safe and have a great holiday season

Memory speed is set by the chipset, not by Acer per se. Memory and CPU price are falling as the supply line fills and they are able to build more chips...

Also, with the Crucial scan (if you do a scan of your desktop) whatever Crucial suggest they guarantee to work and does work, as I've tested this scan out with an old laptop that Acer had a max of 8GB total and Criucial suggested 16GB max total into its 2x slots and the 2x 8GB DDR3 worked perfectly. Its the same with other sacns as its the chipset/cpu that determines the memory specs and speeds.

Also, though the Crucial scan does tend to give good results, be aware they will offer stuff based on their profit first, not on what is best. So they will offer you the 5200 and 5600 even though they are more expensive than 4800 and will end up running at the same speed as the 4800... Always take their suggestions with a grain of salt.

well i know i have read several reviews on their initial 4800 MHz ddr 5 ram and everyone was raving about how awesome it is blah blah blah and said it maxed out at 5200 MHz with xmp enabled ....so it's safe to say the other speeds would be faster also.... right maybe lol ....i don't know ....i haven't tried xmp yet so yeah anyways there ya go and i do know when it comes to acer they have told me several times the base speed is 4400 MHz but ya could go faster with xmp enabled and with that being said i called crucial to pick their brains and several techs there have told me never to use xmp because it lowers the lifespan of the memory....they actually told me more memory in your pc is better than overclocking it so yeah interesting stuff if ya care
