Hi,

I would like to have the ability to boot from a USB stick. Unfortunately the BIOS only gives me three boot options, which are all the same, namely to booy from windows. The BIOS tells me "System does not have any USB boot options"

How to solve that issue?

It is an Acer Extensa 15 with Windows 11

Thank you,

Chris

If you want to boot Windows from a bootable USB flash drive, you can create it with Windows Media Creation Tool. Then enable F12 boot menu in the BIOS. If you created USB correctly, you can choose USB by pressing F12 when booting up.

Which Extensa 15 model do you have? It should be something like EXxxx-xxx-xxxx and is usually located on the same sticker as your serial number. On most of the models you enter the BIOS with an F2. You need to enable to Boot Menu option in the BIOS, and then use F12 to get the bootable devices listed. Any UEFI bootable device will show that has a valid EFI boot image. If the EFI isn't signed you may have to disable Secure Boot temporarily (also in the BIOS) in order for you to boot from the insecure image.
