Hello! My laptop [Nitro AN515-57] struggles to go over 20 FPS in any game when 2 days ago it was handling 60+ FPS in GTA V. Two days ago the fans on the computer were running max so I unplugged the charger and the fans went back to normal, since then the laptop fails to go over 20 FPS in any game with 3D mechanics (Minecraft, GTA V, etc), I've tried cleaning the fans (taking the cover off to do so aswell with and without compressed air), I ensured the proper graphics card was being used and that it's on max performance though it still refuses to work, It would make me very happy if I could get this working due to me not having much time to play as is, thank you all in advance! I'm sorry if I wrote this post wrong by the way, feel free to correct me if I am incorrect..........

Thank you for your reply, the guide you told me to follow doesn't seem to work, I've been able to gain up to 5 FPS through it but that's about it, still won't go above 20. I don't think it's an optimization problem, I think it's something other than that due to it just happening all of a sudden and I was able to get it working back to 70 fps on GTA V last night around 12, then I turned my laptop off and when I turned it back on it returned to 12-20FPS :/ Any other ideas? Thank you again
@Dameka
Turn on your laptop then disable fast startup and restart your laptop
Disabling Fast Startup
To disable Fast Startup, press the Windows Key + R to bring up the Run dialog, type powercfg.cpl and hit Enter. The Power Options window should appear. Click "Choose what the power buttons do" from the column on the left.
Scroll down to "Shutdown settings" and uncheck the box for "Turn on fast startup".
Note: If these options are greyed out then you may need to click "Change settings that are currently unavailable".
Click the "Save changes" button to apply the changes.
In last now check gaming performance
