model number is A715-51G . it charges from 20 to 100% in 15-20 mins . This was happening initially . then i reinstalled the OS and it worked fine for a week and started facing the same issues again.

OK. Follow these instructions to make a battery report screenshot that you can post here.

    (1) Search 'cmd' in Windows start menu.

    (2) Right click command prompt near top of menu.

    (3) Click run as administrator.

    (4) Enter 'powercfg /batteryreport' at command prompt.

    (5) Then return to the desktop. Open file explorer.

    (6) Then search for' battery-report.html' in the c:\windows\system32\ sub-folder. Double-click to open it in the browser.

    (7) Post screenshot of the first part of the report if possible that compares design full charge capacity with its remaining full charge capacity.

This is the details of battery which is just a month old. i am surprised with the details i got from battery report . seeing around 5% to 10 % battery wear with minimum usage .

OK. Looks good. Now try this.

    1. Open Device Manager.
    2. Expand batteries folder.
    3. Right click and uninstall ALL drivers you find in this folder.
    4. Exit Device Manager with trying to re-install anything.
    5. Shut down Windows normally. Wait a minute or so.
    6. Then turn machine back on and let Windows automatically re-detect the battery and charging hardware and automatically re-install fresh copies of their drivers.

How long does the battery last if you dim the screen to 50% and let the machine idle?
