Sata power cables in the PO3-630G-UW91

Okay, so I have been out of the PC modifying/building/upgrading game for A LOT of years. So please bear in mind that I'm coming at this almost as fresh as a baby. That being said...

I purchased a po3-630g-uw91 earlier this year, and only recently opened it up to look into adding/switching some parts around and... am I crazy, or does the power supply not have sata power cables? Am I missing something?

I can very clearly see the sata data cables coming down from the motherboard - everything was very neatly zip-tied in place. But I am not seeing a single sata power cable coming off of the power supply. I feel like there's no way there would simply not be a single one, but maybe that's how things are done with pre-built systems now?

For reference, I have a 2TB HDD that I'd like to shove in there for some extra storage, and don't want to waste a USB port by getting a case thingie for it.

Your prebuilt uses new ATX12VO type power supply. (Don't ask me why. *grin* ) Unlike those "normal" PSUs we all are used to, these new ones deliver 12 volts to the motherboard where it's transformed to 5 and 3,3 volts. Supposedly more efficient this way. Anyway, SATA power is taken from the motherboard and not the PSU like it used to be.

See your manual for the location of the connectors. Not sure, but you may have to buy an additional power cable to power up your storage drive. If so, I'm sure someone will come and tell you the exact part number soon.

Bizarre! Well, thanks for the info!

I will look the thing over with fresh eyes when I get home from work.

Hopefully, if an additional purchase is necessary, you're right and another kind soul will happen by and share the details.
