So I connected the monitor through HDMI 2.1 cable, which maxes at 240hz. I tried different color settings, disabling HDR, etc but nothing. It stayed at 240hz. What should I do? The HDMI should be able to support the speed but it's not. Am I missing something? I'm from the UK and I checked on Amazon, but the only alternative is thunderbolt to DisplayPort cables rated 2K @240hz. Does that mean it can do higher 360hz at 1080p and how do I check if my laptop has thunderbolt?
