TRAVELMATE P215-41-G2-R45P it seems that the storage is not enough

Hi my friend recently bought a TRAVELMATE P215-41-G2-R45P and it seems that the storage is not enough. He is a professor and got lots of files. I just want to if this hdd is compatible with his laptop model: https://s.lazada.com.ph/s.gZdZL. Also, is the hdd tray included (the one that holds the hdd in place) or he needs to buy one. TIA.

Hi,

The link is not working, if the bracket and SATA cable is not included in the package you have to buy it online, the part numbers are:

Bracket:33.VMMN7.001

Cable: 50.VLEN7.001

Screw sizes are in my pictures.

Screws you may have to get from local hardware store or laptop repair shop.

As an alternative solution, ask your friend to get a external hdd, connect it to usb and transfer the fileS from c drive to external hdd to store more space on c drive.

Next time when he is going to buy a computer ask him to purchase a computer with more internal storage of atleast 300 gb, 500 gb or 1 TB.
