Hi all,

Have a problem with an Aspire 3 (N19C1 model no.) tuning on but not booting up, have ruled out the power and harddrive as being the problem and I've been advised to put flux on the gpu on the basis it might have been disconnected (possible, as it was knocked off a table a few hours prior). No recent hardware or software changes were made and the laptop was not plugged in at the time of the accident.

Problem is, I have no idea where the GPU is on the machine. and google and various tear down vidoes have failed to help.

Anyone else able to help or advise?

Many thanks,

Paul

@paulbbb2 if it is the model without the discrete GPU. The integrated GPU is embedded with the CPU. It is difficult to predict what damage has caused the laptop not to show anything. Could be broken traces or CPU pads? Did you try plugging the HDMI to test the video output?

Thank you and have a nice day!
