USB 3.0 to HDMI converter in Acer Swift SF314-41

I've a Acer swift laptop, SF314-41 series, model number - N17W7 on exact.

I need to connect two-external monitors. Monitors have 1-HDMI and 1-VGA input options only.

One I've connected through HDMI port. For the second monitor, I bought USB type-c to HDMI converter which didn't work.

Connecting that showed the Display Connection might have limited access.

Researched and read online that not all USB-C outputs display connections. SO I bought USB 3.0 to HDMI converter as I was sure this laptop does have 3.0 5gbps USB (blue colored).

Guess what, this doesn't work too. Installed the driver, all drivers updated manually, still it doesn't work.

Got suggestion that a better converter is out there in market which might work here (which comes with a driver CD) (definitely it was the same converter with

just silver color and better finishing).

Now, I'm finally here to seek help from the community. My sole motto is to have two external monitors with extended display.

Any help on finding a converter which you know or seen works with this laptop range, or any other way to connect the left-out monitor.

Thank you

Below is the Acer guide of how-to setup a two-monitor system, also look at this guide How to Connect 2 Monitors Together? as it describes the cable types that you need very well.

    How to Setup Dual Monitors

Dual monitor use is a workplace setup that has now become an industry standard across major businesses. If you work in an office, chances are you already have a dual monitor setup with a laptop or dual-screen monitors attached to your work desktop and have experienced the firsthand benefits of a multi-monitor setup. At work, someone from your tech department set up your dual screen monitor for you, and because of that, you may not know how to set up two monitors by yourself. Luckily for you, learning how to connect dual monitors on a pc or laptop is an easy task. This article will teach you how to set up dual monitors on a pc or laptop within 5 minutes.

How to set up two monitors

To start your dual monitor setup, you will need to ensure that your second monitor is plugged into a power source and connected to your computer via an HDMI, DisplayPort, or USB-C cable. The Windows software will automatically detect the monitor when you connect your second display to your computer or laptop. Press Window + P to access the display option; you will be presented with four options: PC Screen only, Duplicate, Extend, and Second screen only. To get a two-monitor setup, select Duplicate or Extend.

If the second monitor does not automatically connect, follow the steps below to learn how to set up a second monitor manually:

    1.   Press Windows + I to access your Settings.

    2.   In your Settings, go to Systems > Display. If you do not see the monitors, select Detect.

    3.   In the Multiple displays section, select an option from the dropdown list to determine how your desktop will display across your screens. The options are the same as the one mentioned in the paragraph above.

    4.   Once you have selected what you see on your displays, select Keep changes.

Now that you know how to set up a second monitor, you can experiment with different monitor placements to find the perfect dual-screen setup for you.

You can always connect the monitor to laptop using vga, dvi, hdmi cable and through the help of docking station if you have multiple monitors.

Please take a picture of the ports of laptop on your smartphone, take it to a nearby store and purchase the right docking station.

You can purchase a switch splitter.  It will be helpful if you have only one hdmi port on your computer and you need to use two hdmi ports.
