Acer CB272 Monitor shows Blue Screen of Death. The BSoD code I get is VIDEO_DTR_FAILURE

I've updated the driver for the monitor. It is the generic PnP driver, and I have updated Windows11

I get the BSoD at random times when my laptop is plugged into the monitor. It may work for hours, then suddenly give me the BSoD.

I have a Dell Inspiron15 with Win11 and my monitor is an Acer CB272. The BSoD code I get is VIDEO_DTR_FAILURE

It is odd because it doesn't always happen, or happen at a specific time (such as when playing a video), so it makes no logical sense to me.

I am assuming it has to do with the monitor because it only happens when I have that plugged in. The computer is brand new, and it didn't happen on my old Dell laptop that had Win10 on it.

Does anyone have any suggestions for me? I came to Acer to see if there is a specific driver for this monitor and I do not see it at all, so I decided to ask here.

Thank you! :)

Additionally, I see there is a driver for this monitor, but I do not see one for Windows 11 - this is the driver I found

It's not a problem with the monitor. You can't get a BSOD from a monitor, and most monitor drivers are just manually setting up the same thing Plug and Play does, defines the refresh rates a resolutions supported. I'm guessing you actually mean VIDEO_TDR_FAILURE not TRD? That's an issue with the video driver...
