I hear crackling sounds from my laptop charger in Acer Nitro 5

I have some doubts. I have an Acer Nitro 5 laptop connected to an uninterruptible power supply. As long as the main electricity from the meter is on, everything works fine. But when I turn off the main electricity, the uninterruptible power supply switches to batteries and a characteristic crack appears in the power supply of the laptop charger. I read that this is due to the fact that the uninterruptible power supply does not generate a pure sinusoidal signal. The signal looks like steps. Can you please tell me if it is safe for a laptop to work in such conditions?

  • It is unusual for the power adapter to generate sounds. Are you sure this sound or crackling is not coming from your electrical outlet?
