Hi, my laptop no longer charges however it knows the charger is plugged in and receiving power, the battery also decreases when i unplug the charger, the laptops around 9 months old and is a daily use for school so is a little rough around the edges but this battery thing is completely random any ideas because this is super important as it has all of my school files on it. (We're taking it into where we purchased it ((Officeworks)) today to see if there warranty covers it).

The battery should still be covered by the Acer warranty. But try this first ---

    1. Shut the laptop down normally.
    2. Unplug the charger.
    3. Gently insert and hold a paperclip into the battery disconnect pinhole on the bottom for about 30 seconds.
    4. Then plug the charger back in but wait for battery charge LED to turn from blinking or steady orange to steady blue.
    5. Only after turning steady blue, try to turn the laptop on again to see if battery is now charging OK.
