Does the EGPU in the Acer Aspire E5 473PN allow me to extend my GPU?

For acer aspire e5 473, can I extend my GPU with an eGPU?

Could you please tell me what I should buy and how to install it?

An eGPU usually is not very practical since most must use the same socket occupied by the wifi card.

But if you don't care about losing built-in wifi, then yes an eGPU setup is possible.

First, you must disassemble the laptop, remove the wifi card, and insert the eGPU adapter, Then decide how to run the wires from the eGPU adapter to outside of the laptop case to the eGPU card and its socket --- since the card and socket won't fit inside the laptop case. Other users reported that drilling holes in the case is necessary for the wires.

As mentioned earlier, an eGPU is usually not too practical for a laptop. You can end up spending more time and money on installing an eGPU setup than simply buying a new laptop with a more powerful discrete GPU chip already embedded in the mainboard.

Sorry that I can't be more optimistic.
