ACER Predator Orion 3000 PO3-640 Gaming PC - CPU Temp issues

Hi,

Two days ago I bought: ACER Predator Orion 3000 PO3-640 Gaming PC - Intel® Core™ i7, RTX 3060 Ti, 1 TB HDD & 1 TB SSD from Currys/PC World

I'm really worried about the CPU temps.. Idle, it is sitting at 40-45C.. When my CPU usage hits 30% non-gaming, it sits around 80C, but as soon as I play a game (fifa), for example), the temperature is constantly 95-100C even with fans set to 'Gaming', which the noise is also completely unbareable.

Is this faulty? I have seen other reviews of this pre-build stating the CPU cooling isn't great, but surely I cant run at a constant 80C+ when im using this PC, the CPU will burn out in no time..

Has anybody any advice on what I should do from here? Other than CPU temps I'm in love with the PC so would be reluctant to swap for a different model etc..

FYI, the PC is in a well ventilated space, the room temperature is cool... So unless I've been sold a dud CPU or cooling system I'm not sure what to do

Few possibilities come to mind.

1) There's a bad contact between the CPU and the cooler.

2) The cooler is insufficient.

Both of these are easy to fix, but would cost more money. Since the PC is literally brand new, I wouldn't take it apart and try to fix it myself. Contact the seller and ask them how they will remedy it.

Temps are easy to fix, but unfortunately it will mean buying and installing a better CPU cooler and/or fan(s). This is something a customer should not have to do to a new PC.

Though in the real world the design is for the temperatures to stabilize around 80-85C with spikes into the 90s. That's not going to harm your processor... You can do the same mods as several other users here who drop their temps by 15-20C with the Noctua fan upgrade.
