Acer Aspire C24-760, Can this model be upgraded to Windows 11 and update Not Working?

I have an Acer Aspire C24-760 all-in-one, Microsoft keeps trying to install Windows 11, a message appears 'Unable to complete update' and then it un-install the upgrade and re-installs Windows 10.

Running the PC Health Check states the processor isn't currently supported for Windows 11, the processor is an Intel i3-6100 CPU @ 2.3GHz.

This CPU is in the supported Intel Processors list.

So why is the Windows 11 update Not Working?

Any Ideas to help me?

Hi,

Your CPU is not supported for Windows 11, you need to have 8th Generation or higher for Windows 11.

Sorry I'm so late in responding to your reply, I was a bit heartbroken with the answer, I understand now, it's a shame the CPU can't be replaced.

However my question now is:-

How can I permanently stop windows trying to upgrade my computer if it can't be upgraded? Then having to wait while it removes windows 11 and then re-installs windows 10, it’s so frustrating having to keep delaying the update.

I’m 82, 83 this year, I don’t want to buy a replacement computer, this one works perfectly for me, I can do without Windows 11, just stop trying to upgrade when you know it’s not possible.

No problem, your Windows 10 has support until 2025, even after that you can continue to use Windows 10 but without any support from Microsoft, anyway, leave the Windows Update as they are now because there may be security updates for Windows 10, I would suggest you ignore the notification about Windows 11 upgrade.
