Hello,
I've been having a problem trying to force my Acer Nitro 5 to use its GTX 1050 graphics card while gaming. I believe this to be the case because the activity of said card while gaming is 0% as reported by Task Manager, Performance tab.
To date, potential solutions/steps I've tried:
-- In both Nitrosense and Windows Settings, set power plan while in AC mode to "High Performance"
--In NVIDIA Control Panel under Adjust image settings with preview, set custom preference emphasizing performance
--In NVIDIA Control Panel under Manage 3D settings, under Global Settings tab, set preferred graphics processor to "High-performance NVIDIA processor," and under Program Settings tab, specifically selected program to customize and selected "High-performance NVIDIA processor" as the preferred graphics processor for said program
--In NVIDIA Control Panel under Set PhysX Configuration, selected "NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050" as PhysX processor
--In Windows Settings, under System -> Display -> Graphics Settings, selected specific program and set preferred graphics settings to "High-performance GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050"
I believe I've exhausted the relevant question threads on this site, which is why I've made this query, though I could very easily be wrong (of course). Any insight into this problem would be greatly appreciated.
