Screen flickers for videos and games, won't stop flickering in my PH317-55

PH317-55 purchased August 30, 2022.

Whenever I pull up a webpage that seems to have "too much" going on (videos, ads, etc.), the screen will spaz out and flicker. It won't stop until I reset my computer. Even when I navigate away from the webpage.

I'm not technically savvy. I'll be processing a return if there's not a very straightforward fix.

Processor 11th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i9-11900H @ 2.50GHz  2.50 GHz

Installed RAM 32.0 GB (31.8 GB usable)

System type 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor

Frustrated.

Search Windows start menu 'power plan'. Click 'choose power plan'. Please post screenshot of result if possible.

Click on the caret. If another Microsoft balanced plan shows up, used that instead of the Acer. If it still behaves about the same, choose the performance plan if it exists. If not, we can make a customized performance plan.

Install uBlock Origins from your browser store/add-on store. Enable all the filter lists except the Regions ones. Apply and update them. Then check the same website and see if it flickers or not.

    Hi Will,

I also have the same problem with the same model laptop ACER predator helios 300 PH317-55 with i7 processor. I have kept the refresh rate as recommended at 144 Hz. But still, that issue is there.

    Regards,

    HK

    Hi Bill,

    Thanks
