I am not sure why my Predator Helios 300 is using about 5gb ram idling?

It's specific specs are  Rtx 2060, i7-10750H, 16 gb 2933mhz. I have tried changing how often the antimalware scans the computer as well but I don't understand what's causing my laptop to use this much ram while doing nothing, I have even tried doing a full scan using Windows Defender Firewall but nothing comes up. Any ideas what the cause could possibly be?

    Hi,

Yes, it's normal, I also get around 4GB used while idling, check the Processes tab to view the process uses RAM.

5GB at idle is really not much for a 16GB machine. Windows itself typically uses between 2-3GB just for the desktop GUI and shared integrated GPU vRAM. To find out what other background processes may be loaded in RAM at startup and immediately thereafter, open TaskManager Startup tab & top part of its Processes tab. Post screenshots of the two tabs here if possible.
