Hi, I recently bought an Acer SA240YAbi Full HD 23.8 LED monitor to use as a larger screen for my laptop. My laptop is a Lenovo Yoga and has only 1 usb and 1 usb-c port, I therefore have connected it to the monitor with a usb-c to hdmi cable. The picture quality on the monitor is pixelated, not to the extent where I can see the words (and I have run an inbuilt font enhancer programme), but it is not the good quality that I was expecting. I am wondering whether this may be down to using usb-c to hdmi or if this monitor just won't work with the laptop I have. Since trying this out I have also got frustrated with working with the PC and am considering purchasing a mac (this is what I'm used to), I am wondering if I buy a mac mini and connect this to the monitor will the screen still be as pixelated. I understand I am probably asking two very different questions, but I would really appreciate any help given.

If you have the Yoga 920, there is a firmware update for USB-2-HDMI issues at this link.
