Hello to everyone. Recently I downloaded ACC app (it was the newest version 4.0 something). Anyhow, I am using my laptop pretty much on AC since I work from home and it would be completely meaningles to constantly charge it. So I want to set battery limit treshold, which is as I found an option in Acer Care Center app. this option is missing whenever I check on battery menu.

[Edited the thread to add model name to the title]

Please if anyone has a solution for this problem, I am glad for any help:)

What is your model number? Also, where did you download it from? Was it there in previous version for you?

Power off your HP laptop if it is On.

Next, press the Power button to restart your PC. While the computer starts up, start pressing the F10 key to enter the HP BIOS Setup Utility.

Once in BIOS, use the right arrow key to open the Configuration tab. If not, open the Advanced tab.

Next, use the down arrow key and select Adaptive Battery Optimizer. If not available, select Power Management Options.

Press Enter and select Enabled to turn on Adaptive Battery Optimizer.

If your system has Power Management Options, then select the drop-down for Battery Health Manager and select Maximize my battery health. This setting maximizes the battery health by lowering the maximum battery charge level to 80%.

Next, press the F10 key to save the changes and exit.

    Greetings,

    James

Model: PH315-53-7254 Acer Predator Helios 300

Yes, Care center was installed on my laptop but I refreshed system and it deleted the program as well. Afer a while I downloaded Care Center version 4.0.0 from the acer official website.

try uninstalling Acer Care Center then restart

install the latest Acer Care Center then check if you can see the battery charge limit

if still the same, do a System Restore or reset to factory image.

if still the same, try the following:

    1. insert a usb flash drive to your laptop or desktop computer. (be sure to backup the contents of your usb flash drive)
    2. download rufus , then run it.
    3. left click the drop down arrow next to the word "SELECT" and left click "DOWNLOAD" to download the original Windows 10 or Windows 11 ISO from Microsoft. Watch the full tutorial
    4. after that, press START. wait for it to finish.
    5. close rufus, open your usb flash drive then run the setup executable.
    6. be sure to backup all the files in Drive C: or any drive partition where the operating system resides before doing step 5.
    7. be sure you have a good internet connection for the contents of the flash drive to be updated to the latest.
    8. as the setup runs, select delete all files, like you are installing a fresh operating system.
    9. wait and trust the process to complete.
    10. after that, download the latest official drivers from Acer.   https://www.acer.com/us-en/support/drivers-and-manuals?utm_source=community&utm_medium=sidesideicons&utm_campaign=assistancebyacer
    11. download the serial number detection utility/tool to obtain the device serial number or SNID
    12. download all the drivers, extract each, then install.
    13. hopefully, your problem will be solved.
    14. driver problems happens when you restore your operating system using the factory recovery image.
    15. after all the drivers installed and working properly. make an image of the whole drive using macrium reflect, aomei, easeus, minitool and many others. Watch the tutorial
    16. the purpose of making your own backup image of the whole drive is to shorten the restoration process in case of problems or malware attacks.

Hi! May I ask. If the replaced batt is not the same model as with the old one, this problem will occur? Will there be no limiter on the acer care center?
