hi
wondering if anyone has advice? It's an older ViewSonic. Is it possible to connect to Chromebook Spin that was bought in 2020?
thanks!
FAQ & Answers
If the older ViewSonic only has a VGA video signal input port, it won't connect to the Spin's HDMI video signal output port even with a passive HDMI-to-VGA cable adapter. A much more expensive active HDMI-to-VGA video signal converter would be needed.
Which Spin Chromebook do you have? How are you trying to connect the monitor? Over the years they have done a bunch of different models, and they have different capabilities.

You can always connect the monitor to laptop using vga, dvi, hdmi cable and through the help of docking station if you have multiple monitors.
Please take a picture of the ports of laptop on your smartphone, take it to a nearby store and purchase the right docking station.
You can purchase a switch splitter. It will be helpful if you have only one hdmi port on your computer and you need to use two hdmi ports.
Please make sure whether the docking station, splitter is compatible for chromebook. Please check with docking station or splitter vendor regarding this.
You can also use the docking station for charging devices
