16GB RAM Upgrade Fail (M3910).

So, my wife has an Acer M3910, with the standard 3GB RAM.

It's been getting a little slow and sluggish of late, so I purchased her a 16GB set of Corsair XMS3 (4x4GB - DDR1333Mhz, 1.5v, just as it says in the manual).

Put all four chips in (16GB), turn the computer on, it just sits there on the ACER logo forever (hitting delete to go into the CMOS just leaves me "waiting...").

Put two chips in (8GB), we get past the ACER logo, we can go into the CMOS or boot up and Windows gets about 4 seconds into booting before blue screening and telling me the installation is corrupt.

Put the original 3GB back in, and it boots back up as normal.

OS is Windows 7 Home Premium 64Bit (which supports 16GB).

Any ideas?

    Anybody?

If it means going out and buying some different RAM, then fine, that's what I gotta do, but I kinda need to figure it out while I can still return the RAM I've already purchased back to the retailer if it's not going to work.

Alrighty then, guess that'll be the last Acer I buy.
