Predator Orion 3000 - 630 Cooling ISSUE just affecting the RTX graphics?

Hey guys! I just bought a Predator Orion but i have been reading a bunch of people complaining about the CPU temperature. Mine will arrive in a couple of weeks, but it's the I5 with the GTX 1660 super.

Most of the post where people complains are about the RTX version. Does people with the I5 and GTX 1660 suffer from the same temperature problem?

That's a good question. Hopefully someone more knowledgeable comes along soon, but in the meanwhile I try to offer one possible explanation. I don't know if this explains why PCs with RTX 3070 might run hotter, but please humor me.

GTX 1660s has a TDP of 125W while RTX 3070 has 220W, which is a quite a significant difference. When GPU is working hard, it dumps the heat from the GPU into the computer case. (Both computers, those with 1660s and 3070, have the same internal volume because the cases are identical.) Then this hot air circulates through the small CPU cooler before it is eventually exhausted from the case.

There might also be some differences between the original CPU heatsinks and case fans. I doubt it, but it is a possibility.

But even if 3070 produces more heat than 1660s, I don't think it should make that much of a difference to the CPU temps.

Yeah! That's a possible explanation to it, also the I7 and I9 CPU's used in the RTX versions of the PC probably runs hotter that then I5.

Since i have been reading a lot of posts i feel like most of the people goes with the more expensives Predators, or the midrange model doesn't have this cooling issue since i don't think i've seen a post where a midrange owner complains about the temperature. Would like to see what the "cheap" midrange owners have to say.

The i5, i7 and i9 versions all have the same power requirements (TDP), so should all run at the same temperature when everything else is the same in the cooling. The ovrall power needs of the GPU also shouldn't make a huge difference in the CPU temperatures, the airflow past the GPU, where it's heat is dissipated, is on the other side of the card from the air flow past the CPU cooler. There should be two streams running through the case, with most intermingling happening after the GPU card ends.
